Emily Diamond, a senior at Georgia State University, is a psychology major with ultimate aspirations to earn a PhD in Human Sexuality. With her degree, she intends to work with sex education providers to public school systems and eventually develop a Human Sexuality doctoral program in a southern university. She is an Atlanta actress. Professional credits include: Shy (Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, the Musical), Amy (Little Women, the Musical), and Kate (Titanic, the Musical). GSU Theater Department credits include: Olive (25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee) and Everyman (Everyman). Emily represents Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, raising funds and awareness through performances, and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, the National Platform of the Miss America Organization. With the title of Miss Georgia State University, Emily has been presented with many wonderful opportunities. Some of her favorites include judging the Miss Marietta Pageant, hosting Georgia State University’s Royal Flame Awards, and competing in Miss Georgia this past June. She is grateful for the love and support of her family, friends, and the Miss Georgia State University Board.
Emily Diamond was crowned Miss Georgia State University 2013 on Saturday, February 8, 2013.
