Campus Events is a university department that hosts a variety of events for the Georgia State student, faculty, and staff community. Examples of events include: the Distinguished Speaker Series, the Centennial Comedy Show, Blue at the Zoo, Open Mic Night, Pantherpalooza, GSU Night at the Aquarium, GSU Night at Six Flags, the Miss Georgia State University Scholarship Pageant, the Courtyard Music Series, and more throughout fall and spring semesters. Campus Events Director applications due
For the 2014-2015 academic year, Campus Events will employ seven student leaders as directors for the following areas: Around Atlanta, Arts, Distinguished Speaker Series, Ideas & Issues, Membership, Panthers at Woodruff, and Public Relations & Social Media. Directors are selected through an application and interview process each spring semester.

Courtyard Music Series: Levi Stephens
GSU continues its annual concert series on April 8 with a performance by Acoustic R&B artist Levi Stephens. The show starts at 12 p.m. and will be at the Student Center Courtyard Stage located on the first floor of the Student Center. This activity is supported by student activity fees.
GSU Night at Six Flags
Join the Georgia State University community in a night of fun at Six Flags Over Georgia on April 25 from 6 p.m. to midnight!
Reasons you should go to GSU Night at Six Flags:
Ticket prices are significantly less than purchasing a ticket at the park.
Free parking on the night of the event!
Upon entry to the park you will receive a “come back” ticket which is good for June 1, 8, or 15, 2014.
You can purchase a ticket that includes an all-you-can-eat meal!
Tickets go on sale soon! Order them through Campus Tickets located in the University Center, or buy them online.

The Distinguished Speaker Series: Jack Hanna
Campus Events is excited to announce that the Distinguished Speaker Series event featuring Jack Hanna has been rescheduled for April 28! Hanna is one of America’s most beloved animal advocates, naturalists, and adventurers. Join us on April 28 at 3 p.m. in the Student Center Ballroom. There will be LIVE animals at the event! This event is free for GSU students, faculty, and staff with a GSU ID.
