Event Description:
Award-winning journalist Michele Norris is the first African-American female host of National Public Radio and a former correspondent for ABC News from 1993 to 2002. Norris has received numerous awards for her work, including an Emmy Award and a Peabody Award for her contributions to ABC’s coverage of 9/11. She has also reported for the Washington Post, Chicago Tribune and Los Angeles Times. Her best-selling book, The Grace of Silence: A Memoir, was praised as one of the best books of 2010 by The Christian Science Monitor.
